My Last Invoice Had No. 115, How Can I Start in Bestinvoicing with Invoice No. 116?
To start with a certain serial number for a proposal or invoice in BestInvoicing, you can manually change the proposed serial number once during document creation. Afterwards BestInvoicing will automatically continue numbering from this last number (117, 118, ...).
Numbering format on sales documents
By default, BestInvoicing will propose the following numbering structure:
Modifying the numbering can be done in section 'Journals'.
Navigate to your email address at the top right corner of BestInvoicing and click it to open the menu
Select 'Company Settings'
Select 'Journals and Numbering'
Depending on your settings of these journals, you will see one or more journals listed here.
To set numbering, there are two options:

Clicking in the numbering field, displays a drop down menu:
You may choose one of the preset number formats.
Select custom numbering:
If you click 'Use Custom Numbering', your numbering will be displayed in a different way. For the first document type below, 'Use custom numbering' was selected:
This option allows you to further customize the numbering, based on a combination of 'tags'. The available tags can be found at the top behind the button 'I - Tags' and will open as a pop-up window:
The available tags allow to create your own numbering combination. Examples:
