Shopify

Shopify is an e-commerce platform that helps small businesses build an online store and sell online. Via the Shopify connection in BestInvoicing, you can automatically convert an order from your Shopify webshop into an order confirmation, delivery note or invoice. This document can then be sent from BestInvoicing (automatically) to the customer via email.

Activating the Connection with Shopify

This connection can be activated via the 'Apps and Integrations' menu in BestInvoicing.

    Navigate to the top right corner of BestInvoicing and click your email address.

    Select 'Apps and Integrations' in the menu.

    Go to the tab 'Advanced Settings' and click the green button 'Activate' next to 'Shopify'.

Setting up the Shopify Connection

Once the connection is activated, a yellow "Configure" button appears on the left side. Click it to set up the connection.
Click the green button 'Open Shopify AppStore' to be redirected to your Shopify environment, where you're asked to sign in to your Shopify account.
After verification of your access, you're invited to connect your webshop to the onFact app:

Click 'Install unlisted app' in order to make the connection. You'll be redirected to BestInvoicing, where upon successful connection, the following screen appears:

Settings

In this section, select what type of document to create in BestInvoicing after an action has been performed in Shopify.
BestInvoicing may create an order confirmation, a delivery note or an invoice.
Determine when your selected document type should be created: as soon as a webshop order is created, as soon as that order is paid or only upon completion of the order.
If you check 'Send automatically via email', the document is immediately sent to the email address used to place the order in Shopify. If you do not check this box, the document will be created with 'Concept' status in BestInvoicing and you still need to send it yourself.
Click 'Save' to save your settings.

Bottom Texts and Emails

'Bottom texts' in BestInvoicing refer to the texts that can be found at the bottom of an invoice, order confirmation or delivery note), usually a thank your for the order incl. payment details/instructions.
'Email texts' are the accompanying texts that are sent out when sending the actual document (invoice, order confirmation, delivery note) to the customer.
You can select different texts for documents relating to orders that have already been paid or are yet to be paid. If you have activated the app 'Foreign Language Customers', you can even preset these texts per language.
Similarly, it is also possible to set the text for the accompanying email. Again, you can distinguish between an email text for an order already paid, or still to be paid.
