This BestInvoicing module allows to create a basic to do list. The task can be created independently, it may be connected to a specific customer or a specific proposal. Do you use Google Calendar? In that case, a BestInvoicing task deadline can also be displayed in your agenda.
To use tasks, you first need to activate it in BestInvoicing:
Navigate to the top right corner of the screen (email address) and select 'Apps and Integrations' in the menu.
Check the list of 'Apps and Integrations Related to Customers'.
Click the green button 'Activate' on the line mentioning 'Tasks'.
You only need to use the yellow button 'Configure' should you wish to synchronize with your Google Calendar, see further.
As soon as the app is activated, it will appear in the menu to the left (Tasks). Click the button at the top right 'Create Task' to create a new task.
A task may contain four fields:
A title: e.g. Check prices LogiTech
A customer: can be selected/searched based on the existing customer files
A deadline: select a date or deselect the box if no deadline is connected to this task
A description: e.g. Supplier announced price change, see email
You'll see a summary when a task is created:
You can add specific information (e.g. catalog) to a task, using the tab 'Attachments'.
On the timeline you can mark a task as 'Pending' or 'Completed'. Use the button 'View Print Version' to generate a print preview of your task.
If you link a task to a customer, it will not only appear in your overview of tasks, but also in the customer file.
In BestInvoicing it is possible to convert a proposal to a task. To do so, navigate to the summary window of the proposal. Select the green 'Copy To' button, and select 'Copy to new task'.
The task is automatically linked to the customer to whom the proposal was made. The summary of the task will also contain a URL to the proposal, so it can easily be opened for reference.
Your overview of tasks can be modified using the yellow button 'Filters'. For example, you may want to only display statuses 'Open' and 'Pending'. Select 'Remember Filter' to set this filter selection as default.
It is possible to display BestInvoicing tasks that have a deadline, in your Google Calendar.
Mind that this synchronization only works in one direction, from BestInvoicing to Google Calendar. If you change something to a task in BestInvoicing, it will be updated in Google Calendar. If you modify the task in Google Calendar, it will not be modified in BestInvoicing.
To set up synchronization, go to the top right of your email address and select 'Apps and Integrations'. Move to 'Tasks' and click the yellow button 'Configure'.
Click the green button 'Connect Google Calendar' to connect BestInvoicing to your Google Calendar. You're now being forwarded to your Google environment in which you can log in using your email address and password. Authorize BestInvoicing to make changes to your Google Calendar: click 'Allow'.
You're now redirected to BestInvoicing again and the button beneath the Google Calendar logo will be changed into 'Disconnect'. The connection has now been made. In your Google Calendar, an additional agenda will appear, called 'BestInvoicing'.
